Day 27 - Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Today was a rest day, sort of. While Sara, Rosie and Jim toured the Anne Frank House I rode over to BMW van Harry Meijer (we'd say Harry Meijer BMW) in Lijnden to have the 24 mile service completed on the bike. Turned out that the tires were about gone after just 6K miles. Guess the high speeds on the German Autobahn didn't help.

Lars, a Dutch friend from my Northwest Airlines, days picked us up at 16:30 and took us to his place for dinner.  He and Martina live in Nieuw Vennep, a village out near Shciphol Airport. They fixed a fantastic dinner that all enjoyed.
