Day 20 - Gargia, Norway

Slept in this morning as we had only a 146 mile day to our lodging,18 miles South of Alta, Norway.

Rode into Honniongsvag to find a place for breakfast. Ended up eating at the Corner Cafe, located right where the cruise ships dock. It was too late for breakfast but the waitress agreed to serve us pancakes off the kids menu. While eating she told us about the King Crab House Restaurant. So, we at our pancakes, watched a large ship come into port, then went to the King Crab for crab soup.

Not only many motorcycles (mostly all BMW GS bikes) but bicycles too, Might tough to do these hills and then there is the constant wind. Enjoyed talking with an Italian couple that had ridden their Beemer up from Italy.

We're at the Gargia Fjellstue  and have a kitchen in our cabin so stopped in Alta to get the makings for dinner. Saved us about $125 if we'd had dinner out.  People here just don't eat out much. Just too expensive.
