Day 22 - Ullangers, Sweden

An unusual start for the day. Set the clock wrong so got up at 05:00 and not 06:00 but didn't realize the mistake until the bikes were loaded, etc. So, had breakfast when they opened at 07:00 and hit the road at 07:45 enroute to Docksta, Sweden, a 330 mile ride, for the most part on roads we'd call freeways.

We have our bikes registered with the EPC so the tolls are charged automatically to our account when the cameras read the license plate on the bike. It is nice to a speed limit of 110kph vs. the 90kph in Norway and 100kph in Finland.

Speaking of speed, at nearly every intersection, even in the middle of nowhere, the speed limit drops from 110kph to 70kph and in about 100 yards there is a camera. Will be interesting to see if we get nailed.

One major traffic delay of about twenty minutes due to a paving project.

We make sandwiches at breakfast and then stop along the way for lunch at a gas station. They all have picnic areas. Very nice.

Once yet again a perfect blue sky day. Can't believe the luck we're having with the weather. High today was 68 degrees. Will wear lighter gear tomorrow.

Got to our hotel in Docksta at 15:45 and GPS showed it as a gas station. Turned out that we'd have to pick up the key for the room at the cafe next to the gas station and then go to another location where the room was located, about a half mile away. The room had no bedding or towels, and no shower, just a bathroom down the hall.  I managed to get out money back and we drove further South, about six miles, to Ullangers and found rooms at the Ullangers Hotel and Restaurang (Restaurant). All a part of the Adventure.
